Here's our turn off. Back off the pavement.
i wonder which Jamau this is?
Or is this one Gamau?
4:25p. More cows in the road
They are not interested in moooving out of the way
hunh?
Lets get back in the road before this Jeep gets any closer...
the little one is fuzzy!
5p. A happy, muddy girl
5:47p. Its lighter later up in the mountains
Happy New Year!

Brain gets dramatic when he's allowed to light Dave's fireworks. Actually the torch worked better than a butane lighter.
Happy New Year! Jan 1st 2005. 9:45am
12:14p. All packed up and out of camp. We need to head north today and tomorrow.
Louise spotted our missing/broken trailer plug in the road
A mini parade!
Great weather today!
wild burro
and a horse
It's fun driving the Baja dirt roads
3:30p Uh oh! It's not supposed to look like this! Broken.
Broken or just badly bent? um, broken, but not all the way through.
We are still have 40 miles more of this rough dirt before we get to pavement
It looks bad, and it is. But the trailer is not on the ground yet.
Jack it up & take a look
I need to get my own bottle jack! This one is Brian's and it telescopes well.
Hmmm. Stuck. Can't pull it out. (4:15p)
Unbolting everything nearby
I'm really glad the Lock N Roll hitch was bolted on, not welded!
That stuck tongue piece is gonna come out!
Hold the Trailer back!
Ok, we're hooked up. I'm going to drive the Jeep forward. You guys keep the trailer from moving.
It broke along the bottom 1st, then the sides. The top is still connected. Lucky too, or it would have very hard to remove
Luckily we have friends to help!
5pm and the spectators are remaining calm
a toast to the working class
This will make a nice computer desktop too
Ok, I've got a plan! This hi-Lift jack is going to save us. If only the holes lined up better!
Ok, it's beautiful!
The electrical had gotten ripped out yesterday, but we found the 7 wire plug this morning.
1/2" drive socket as a spacer, since the hi-lift holes don't line up with the Lock N Roll hitch.
Time to celebrate! It's really gonna work! We don't have to abandon the teardrop in Baja Mexico!
